‘Cash for Clunkers’ May Turn into ‘Cash for Caulkers’ According to Tampa Realty

Calling insulation ‘sexy’ and liking the idea to ‘cash for clunkers’ it is now renamed ‘cash for caulkers’ in which President Obama is asking Congress to pass an incentive bill for homeowners who improve their home to a more energy efficient style.

Tampa homes for sale company thinks the ‘cash for caulkers’ government incentive program would be a great idea because the ‘cash for clunkers’ deal spurred on a rash of new car sales last summer and could help the troubled energy efficiency business this year.   

Many new construction companies found that business was so poor in these recessionary times that they had to do something quickly so they switched to helping people ‘go green’ by becoming the environmentally conscious homeowners helper.

Putting construction employees back to work is the bottom line for companies that switched from new construction to retrofitters who could be as involved in turning a home into a more eco-friendly building with something as simple as sealing windows for leaks or to the more complicated which might include changing appliances to more energy efficient ones, redesigning ductwork, adding insulation or solar powered water heaters.

An individual who works with Tampa property for sale stated that traditionally, about 150,000 U.S. homes will have received some type of ‘green’ upgrade annually and most of these come through some type of government program for low-income families or individuals. And it’s estimated that some 100 million homes could use upgrades of one kind or another in the immediate future to help the owners deal with the skyrocketing energy costs.

The government plan would match homeowners’ dollars to a certain amount when it comes to home improvements that help the homeowner become more energy efficient, said a Tampa realty agent.

Many of the big name construction companies and manufacturing plants are hitching a ride with the ‘green’ initiative, including Owens Corning, one of the largest instillation makers in the country.  Owens Corning estimates that approximately 80 million homes in America are under-insulated. They have recently begun producing a new line of efficiency products including a sealing system for the cracks and joints in a home.

Tampa Homes for Sale Become Rental Properties to Avoid Foreclosure

Many couples who tried to sell their homes in today’s struggling housing market decide after several months of many lookers but no buyers to either go for Tampa short sales or rent out the property in order to help pay the mortgage.

A short sale is when the homeowner cannot sell their home for the amount they owe the bank and must sell it for less than the mortgage amount and the bank is willing to accept this.  Many banks are willing to accept a short sale rather than foreclose on a house because the bank is not in the business of owning houses, they want people in these houses and paying a monthly mortgage payment, even if it is a smaller one than originally priced.

I have often dreamed of moving to Florida. There is something about the properties there that just make my heart race. There is a really fantastic Florida luxury home builder based there which have the most amazing properties available, that I have just come across. It sounds silly that I want to move to a place just because the properties are good but if you take a look at them, maybe you will understand too. Perhaps it is because this Florida home builder builds the type of houses that I lived in as a girl or that they just have lovely features that I really want, but whatever the reason I just know that I want a house in Florida built by them. All I need to do is to convince my family that moving there will be the best thing for all of us and that they will enjoy the house as much as me. Hopefully once I show them more information about the Panama City custom home builder that I want to use, they will be convinced and want to move as much as I do. If I’m going to rent, it’s going to be Lynn Haven apartments

With the current economic slowdown and the increase in prices it looks like I might have to sell my house. I am finding that the mortgage payments are really expensive and I could really do with some of the money that is tied up in the house. I should be able to get a lump sum if I sell and I could use that towards a deposit on a place in a group of Lynn Haven apartments that I have been looking at. These places look neat and tidy and affordable which is great for me. I was worried that I would have to get something that wasn’t as nice as my current home, because I was finding the mortgage such a struggle. I should not only have enough money for a deposit but also have a buffer in case I need help in the future with bills or rent. I am quite looking forward to the idea of moving into the Lynn Haven rental homes, they all look good and I think it would be a lovely community area with lots of nice neighbors. The houses are close together which I think would be good and they all have great facilities. I just hope that I can sell my home quickly while there are still some good Lynn Haven rental properties available for me to choose from.

Retiring in Florida. Woo Hoo!

My parents have just announced that they are moving to Florida. I am thrilled as it will be great for them to have a fantastic retirement there and it will be even better for family vacations! It sounds a bit selfish but I know that they are going to be using a Panama City luxury home builder for the house that they want. This will mean that they will have a stunning place that we will all be able to go to. It will be fantastic that all the family will be able to gather together in the same house on big occasions such as holidays and birthdays. We all live close enough that we will be able to get there pretty easily. The Panama City home builder that they are using has a fantastic reputation for having the most amazing houses. They have already shown me the brochure and I was so jealous! I would love to go with them and stay permanently I think! I am relieved that they are using a reliable Panama City custom home builder though as it is a huge investment for them and I would hate for them to lose it because they were not using a reputable company.
